It is a wash day, but you had something come up out of the blue, and now you must push it back. But your hair is not ready for another day without being washed, and is acting up. What to do when you are with little time to have a proper wash day, yet need to tame your mane? Here are some easy hairstyles you can carry to prevent your hair from being a mess, all the while looking stylish and presentable:
A slick bun:
One of the most classic hairstyles is a slicked back bun. The style is easy to create and gives you a polished, neat look, perfect for your office, class or a trip outdoors. To make a slicked-back bun, spritz your hair with fresh water, use a light conditioner, hair serum or gel to give that slick look, and brush your hair to remove any tangles. Make a tight, low bun and viola! An easy way to remove further frizz and add elegance is to add a silk scarf around your hair, and you are good to go.
Cover your hair with a wrap:
If you’ve had a busy week hair-wise, and used a lot of styling products over the week, then your hair might be looking dry and flaky. To conceal the flakiness, just grab a head wrap and cover the head from the crown. It is an evergreen look which looks chic in casual settings. To control your fly-away baby hair, use a little styling serum to settle them down.
Use a headband:
A headband is also one look you can carry with ease and grace in casual outings, lunches and while running errands. It is great for hiding most of your hair, as it also conceals the baby hair and the edges. A stylish headband can add oomph and flair to many of your summer outfits.
Make space buns:
Space buns are a quirky little hairstyle which can really compliment your look if you are up for it. They keep your hair out of the face, and are great for days out in the heat. Spritz your hair with some water, brush out your hair, and add some styling gel. Part your hair in the middle and divide your hair in two equal parts. Brush upwards again, and make two cute Bantu knots. And there you go, with your awesome Space buns!
